Sentient Foundation Commits $42 Million to Advance Open-Source General AI Development

Odaily星球日报讯 Sentient Foundation announced the launch of an Open-Source General AI Funding and Investment Program, committing $42 million to specifically support developers, researchers, and enterprises building and applying general AI in an open manner.
The program combines non-dilutive grants with investments to ensure AI infrastructure, models, tools, and applications remain open and accessible. The program has already received support from Alibaba Cloud, Franklin Templeton, Princeton University, and the Indian Institute of Science. Applications are now open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
