U.S. Senator: Cryptocurrency Tax Bill Could Be Announced as Early as This Fall

According to Odaily, U.S. Senate Republican tax writer Steve Daines stated that the framework for the cryptocurrency tax legislation being advanced by the Senate is largely complete, and the relevant bill could be announced as early as this fall.

Daines noted that the framework has "more similarities than differences" compared to the cryptocurrency tax proposal previously released by the House Ways and Means Committee, and he expressed hope that a markup session could be held within the year to advance the legislative review process.
