It is reported that the Sei Development Foundation announced today that it has reached a cooperation agreement with Druk Holding and Investments Ltd (DHI), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bhutan, to deploy and operate a Sei validator node in Bhutan. This project is spearheaded by DHI's InnoTech department and is expected to officially launch in the first quarter of 2026.

This collaboration will significantly enhance Bhutan's national-level capabilities in blockchain infrastructure, while opening new avenues for data value mining, scientific research innovation, and fintech development. Furthermore, it will drive Bhutan's exploration of practical applications for asset tokenization and new economic incentive mechanisms, becoming an important component of Bhutan's digital transformation strategy.
