Recently, according to reports from well-known international media outlets such as CryptoBriefing and Business Insider, the blockchain seminars co-hosted by TRON, Columbia University, and Harvard University successfully concluded on November 7th and 8th. This event adds two more world-class universities to TRON's academic cooperation network. Previously, prestigious universities such as Imperial College London, Yale University, Dartmouth College, Princeton University, MIT, Cornell University, and UC Berkeley have all established partnerships with TRON.

Through projects like TRON Academy, TRON brings cutting-edge blockchain research into the classroom, providing knowledge and resources for the next generation of industry leaders and accelerating the implementation of the decentralized economy. By deepening collaboration between academia and industry, TRON reaffirms its commitment to promoting responsible blockchain education, driving sustainable innovation, and cultivating interdisciplinary talent, jointly ushering in the next chapter of Web3.
To continuously promote the popularization of blockchain and the cultivation of talent, TRON, through its global program TRON Academy, further expands academic cooperation, seamlessly connecting theoretical learning with on-chain practice, and providing student blockchain clubs with funding, educational resources and industry practice opportunities to help their development.
At the "Introduction to TRON" seminar held at Columbia University and Harvard University, TRON community spokesperson Sam Elfarra gave a comprehensive introduction to the TRON ecosystem and core Web3 tracks, focusing on real-time settlement and cross-border payment technologies in PayFi, and discussing the current situation of the decentralized finance (DeFi) industry.
“Popularizing blockchain education as early as possible is the cornerstone of building a sustainable and innovative Web3 ecosystem,” Elfarra said. “Through TRON Academy, we are committed to providing young students with knowledge empowerment, resource matching and practice platforms to cultivate the next generation of blockchain innovation talents.”
At the event, students conducted in-depth comparisons of the architectural differences between blockchain financial infrastructure and the traditional banking system, and discussed the opportunities and challenges of integrating the two ecosystems. The seminar attracted approximately 30 students at Columbia University, and another 20-30 students at Harvard University, demonstrating the high level of enthusiasm among young people for Web3 innovation. After the event, the TRON team also conducted in-depth interviews with leaders of blockchain clubs at both universities, actively collecting feedback to better understand students' perspectives on Web3 issues and explore effective pathways for TRON to participate in future dialogues.
