Odaily News Bitget announced a three-year public welfare cooperation with the United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF). The two parties will jointly build an innovative education model based on blockchain to empower 300,000 young women and educators in eight developing countries around the world.
Through this cooperation, Bitget will join the Game Changers Coalition project initiated by UNICEF. Bitget Academy will assist in developing the United Nations first interactive training course that combines game and blockchain knowledge, providing a practical and interesting learning experience for young people and educators.
Sandra Visscher, Executive Director of UNICEF Luxembourg, said: This strategic cooperation with Bitget aims to empower young people around the world through digital skills, focus on increasing womens participation and development opportunities in the field of science and technology, and promote social inclusive growth through technological innovation.
This collaboration is also part of Bitgets womens charity project Blockchain4Her (B4H), which is committed to providing learning and skills training opportunities for 1.1 million girls in developing countries such as Brazil and India by 2027.
Founded in 1946, UNICEF is dedicated to improving the health, education, and nutrition of children around the world. UNICEF is the first UN organization to support cryptocurrency donations. In 2019, it worked with the Ethereum Foundation to support start-ups in open source technology; in 2022, it worked with the Binance Charity Fund to provide emergency relief to children and their families in Ukraine and surrounding countries.
