Solana Hyperdrive hackathon has been open for registration since September 6th and will continue until October 15th. As a traditional event in the Solana ecosystem, Solana Hackathon enjoys a great reputation globally and has produced numerous Web3 star projects in previous editions, including STEPN.

Solana, as one of the most active Layer 1 blockchains, has a wide range of supporters worldwide, with over 1000 developers continuously contributing to the Solana network. This year, the Solana ecosystem has seen many innovations, with increased network stability and decentralization. TVL increased by approximately 20% in Q2. Recently, Solana has partnered with Web2 giants such as Shopify and Visa, and the founder of MakerDao has expressed consideration for building MakerDao Newchain on Solana.

Hyperdrive hackathon is the second global online hackathon of Solana in 2023. This hackathon will provide participants with up to $1 million in prizes and seed funding, aiming to further promote the development of the Solana ecosystem. Best Public Welfare Award: $20,000

Each track will select 5 winning works and will receive the corresponding prize:

The hackathon gave us the opportunity to break through our original plans and provided us with additional exposure beyond the prize money. While exploring interesting and unresolved issues in the Solana ecosystem, I had serious discussions with friends from Superteam DAO and discovered that Solana currently lacks a lightweight node protocol, which is a vacant but crucial area.
