XRPL Korea announced today that it will host the XRPL Hackathon 2025 Seoul on September 20th at Dreamplus Gangnam in Seoul. Themed "Building a New Fintech Ecosystem," the event will bring together developers, entrepreneurs, and corporate innovators to design new payment, settlement, and revenue models on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

Participants will have 48 hours to transform their creative ideas into practical projects, guided by expert mentors and supported by on-site team matching. This hackathon features a main track for finance/fintech and a dedicated challenge for partners. The winning teams will share a $10,000 prize pool, receive a spot on the 2025 XRP Seoul Summit roadshow, and receive investment opportunities from global venture capital firms and accelerators.

Apple's Ripple serves as the title sponsor of the event, and partners include Intervest, Strong Ventures, Tenity, Simsan Ventures, Nanuhm Angels Investment, Andis Partners, and the Gwanak-gu Entrepreneurship Promotion Agency. Academic and ecosystem partners include the Kwangwoon University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, Rocketpunch, and Glimpse.

The competition is open to emerging entrepreneurs, Web3 and Fintech startups, and enterprise innovation teams. No blockchain development experience is required, and participants with non-technical backgrounds can participate by forming a team with on-site developers.
