OKX collaborates with Pulsar to enhance market liquidity for Hong Kong users.
On July 7, 2023, OKX, the second largest cryptocurrency exchange and leading Web 3 technology company in terms of global trading volume, partnered with algorithmic trading company Pulsar to enhance market liquidity for Hong Kong users. OKX is committed to standardizing its virtual asset trading platform by introducing top liquidity providers, based on the best practices of the global traditional financial industry and the regulatory requirements of Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) in Hong Kong.
Through this partnership, Pulsar becomes the designated liquidity provider for OKX in Hong Kong, improving OKX's market efficiency and bringing more competitive pricing and increased liquidity in the order book for Hong Kong users. Pulsar, established in 2014, has significant influence in the global market and has partnerships with over 60 trading platforms (including over 600 trading pairs).
Lennix Lai, Global Chief Business Officer of OKX, said, "By leveraging Pulsar's expertise and experience in market making and providing trading liquidity, we are able to offer users more competitive pricing and narrow bid-ask spreads, further enhancing the stability of the OKX trading platform. This collaboration also helps align OKX's virtual asset trading platform with the best practices of the entire industry and the traditional financial industry in ensuring market liquidity and fairness. Looking ahead, we will continue to improve the efficiency of the OKX trading platform and provide users with a secure and appropriate trading experience."
Jacky Chung, CEO of Pulsar, said, "We are honored to collaborate with OKX, a leading exchange that shares our goal of providing competitive pricing and a flexible and convenient trading experience. Through our partnership with OKX, we look forward to accelerating the future development and application of virtual assets in Hong Kong."
In March, OKX announced the establishment of its Hong Kong company to apply for the VASP license under the new regulatory regime in Hong Kong. OKX has also updated its application program for the trading platform in accordance with the latest regulatory requirements for VASPs in Hong Kong, allowing Hong Kong users to buy, sell, and hold 16 major cryptocurrencies. In the coming months, OKX will continue to improve its application program, explore and introduce new features, aiming to enrich and diversify the experience for Hong Kong users.
