Regarding ETH2.0, I will continue to pay attention to the development of this field, and I will share with you new information.

Recently, there are two pieces of news worthy of everyone's attention, both of which involve the interests of more digital currency investors:

1. The pledge contract of the Ethereum 2.0 beacon chain is launched

The development of Ethereum 2.0 has always been the focus of my attention. I mentioned in an article a while ago that the Ethereum 2.0 beacon chain is likely to go live in November or December.

After the Ethereum beacon chain goes online, users can participate in the mining of the beacon chain. The specific method is as follows: the user uses a computer or a device that meets the minimum hardware requirements to run the client of the beacon chain, and then sends 32 ETH to a mortgage contract in Ethereum. If these two processes are completed correctly, the user is officially called a node of the Ethereum 2.0 beacon chain.

The current situation is that the client of the beacon chain is still in testing, but it is generally stable. On November 5th, the mortgage contract was also officially launched. The address of the contract is:

https://etherscan.io/address/0x00000000219ab540356cBB839Cbe05303d7705Fa

On the day when the mortgage contract was launched, many enthusiastic enthusiasts had already injected 32 ETH into the contract.

I believe that the mortgage of the beacon chain will be the next big hot spot, and there will be many enthusiasts actively participating. For us ordinary enthusiasts, it may be quite difficult to run the client by ourselves and mortgage 32 ETH. Therefore, I suggest that friends who are enthusiastic to participate in the mortgage should prepare some ETH now and wait for a while. After a while, there will be a steady stream of various mortgage service providers, and they will launch simple and easy solutions to allow ordinary users to participate in the mortgage of the beacon chain.

I will continue to pay attention to the development of this field, and share with you when I have new information.

2. BCH will undergo a hard fork

BCH is currently the fifth largest digital currency in terms of total market value. It is considered an old-fashioned currency in the minds of many investors, and it is also one of the currencies held by many investors. Mining bully Bitmain and big coffee Jiang Zhuoer are heavy holders and fans of BCH.

BCH originated from the hard fork of Bitcoin in 2017. At that time, due to serious differences of opinion between the miners headed by Bitmain and the core developers of Bitcoin on the future development of Bitcoin, the miners headed by Bitmain hard forked Bitcoin and produced BCH.

After the birth of BCH, Satoshi Auben and Bitmain disagreed on the future development of BCH, which led to a hard fork of BCH in 2018, resulting in BSV.

However, the turmoil of BCH did not end there. Since last year, BCH has once again been divided within its future development. The point of disagreement this time is whether to use 8% of the BCH mined by the miners as the funding for the development team. This method of pumping water is called IFP.

In this regard, the community has been divided into BCHN and BCHA.

The BCHA faction believes that the project development and maintenance of the BCH team need funds, and the launch of IFP will be able to solve the problem of funds, which will be more conducive to the development of the project in the long run. The BCHN faction believes that the pumping of the project seriously violates the vision of decentralization, and BCH's doing so will deviate from the original path of Bitcoin and does not conform to the spirit of the blockchain. Especially in the eyes of miners, IFP is undoubtedly a "forced donation".

At present, the entire BCH community still has not reached a consensus on this disagreement, so another hard fork may be unavoidable, and the time for the fork will probably be on November 15. If the hard fork really happens, all BCH holders will get two coins at the same time: BCHN and BCHA. Therefore, many people regard the hard fork as a positive - allowing currency holders to get new coins for free.

This news has been circulated in the circle earlier, so there have been more optimistic investors buying BCH, hoping to get more forked new coins by then.

BCH is now considered the most in the circle, and only the old ones are left. In terms of consensus, it is inferior to Bitcoin; in terms of application and ecology, it is inferior to Ethereum. Its ability to maintain its top five position is largely a matter of inertia, which I think will slowly fade. And this hard fork will further weaken the status and influence of BCH, which is not a good thing for BCH.

Therefore, I don't think investors need to buy a lot of BCH just to get this forked candy. My own BCH was replaced by Bitcoin and Ethereum early on.

3. Questions about the wallet

I posted an article introducing the imToken wallet the day before yesterday, and some readers asked if this wallet can store various DeFi tokens.

Whether DeFi tokens can be deposited depends on which ecology the DeFi token belongs to. Most of the well-known DeFi project tokens are tokens of the Ethereum ecosystem. They are basically ERC-20 tokens, so these tokens can be stored in Ethereum wallets.

imToken supports Ethereum and also supports the storage of these Ethereum ecological DeFi tokens. The same goes for EOS and Tron.
