We realized that both the engineers and the community could go through the process one more time in the public testnet before the mainnet goes live. At the same time, it is necessary to avoid affecting the operation of Medalla. So we opted to do a short rehearsal, which will be held in parallel with Medalla later this month. welcome
Spadina will be a (mainly) mainnet configuration testnet with a 3-day lifespan (EOL). The main goal is to give us all another chance to rehearse one of the more difficult and risky processes before entering mainnet: depositing and genesis. If all goes well, we will feel more at ease when we get to the actual mainnet this year.
Should Spadina be involved?
If you want to experience the latest iteration of Launchpad, want to play around with key generation and management, and check if you can set up your favorite client from scratch, then don't hesitate to participate in the Spadina testnet!
If you have participated in multiple testnets, have experience in key and client management, and are proficient in writing custom system configuration and monitoring tools, then you can freely choose whether to participate in the new testnet
Note that Spadina only operates on a three-day cycle. Although the testnet will remain operational for a period of time after three days, client teams, block explorers, and other infrastructure providers will no longer provide support after three days.

Depend onSupranationalThe built Blst library quickly became the default signature library for eth2 clients due to its huge performance improvement. To ensure that the library meets the standards required for mainnet, we are looking for an auditor for it to conduct a full audit of its low-level, optimized code, as well as its multilingual bindings.

In addition to this audit, formal verification of blst's domain, curve, and bulk signing operations is in progress. The work is expected to be completed in early 2021.
