Introduction to Stateless Clients
This part introduces the current paradigm of the Ethereum protocol and the stateless paradigm, and also introduces the benefits of the stateless paradigm.

The Difficulty of Implementing a Stateless Client
This section describes the difficulties of implementing a stateless client. On the one hand, the witness data scale is relatively large. According to the estimation here, each block will generate 600 KB of block witness data (the average data volume of the current Ethereum block itself is about 30-35 KB). On the other hand, it is because the gas consumption of the EVM opcode is determined according to the calculation amount of the operation, which is not suitable for the situation where the stateless paradigm focuses on bandwidth consumption. Therefore, in general, the challenge of achieving statelessness is to reduce the size of the witness on the one hand, and to formulate a suitable Gas consumption plan on the other hand.
