In the spring of 2014, I graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in Creative Writing. At that time, I didn't have any career plans in mind, I just knew that I wanted to write professionally, but I also wanted to write creatively. That summer, I translated a Quebec French divorce decree into English, and I have never regretted being a freelancer since.

In the years that followed, I worked every kind of job you could think of as an English major: writing entries for dictionaries and encyclopedias, editing nearly Kylie Jenner's collection of poems, being a technical ghostwriter, etc. . But all the while, I felt like something was missing; I wanted a position where I could focus on something I didn't know yet.

That all changed in early 2017 when I typed "Random" on Reddit and ended up with "r/ethtrader". I've found a world based on a project like nothing I've seen before. I dug in, read the Ethereum whitepaper, and spent two months learning everything about the blockchain space. I applied to many crypto news sites at the time, and the rest is history. Since then, I've worked in crypto every day, while also learning and following Ethereum's many advancements.

I’m at my best as a poet and novelist; it’s still a mystery why I got hooked on Ethereum in 2017. In part, I attribute this to my job as a ghostwriter, ie being able to pick up material that I'm not directly versed in. But there's always something I'm obsessed with.

When I first stumbled upon Ethereum, its almost limitless possibilities captivated me, and that feeling sticks with me to this day. Why? I think Ethereum is the greatest miracle in the free evolution of human beings.

As a student of history, I am quite interested in observing the trend of decentralization in human affairs over the years. For example, the printing press, the US Constitution, the Internet, Bitcoin, 3D printers, etc. From this perspective, I see Ethereum as the latest great advancement in human freedom.

Indeed, Ethereum has become particularly powerful for artists. Ethereum facilitates substantial automated resale royalties for crypto artists through platforms like SuperRare. These royalty models will be developed into other projects and further tested in the coming years. This is a good thing, different from the traditional art field and deserves more attention.

Simply put, Ethereum is a neutral "opt-in" public good that allows users to freely spend money, communicate freely, create freely, and more. Ethereum has many further optimizations that allow these freedoms to be better realized. This is a very good thing.

Even though I have a background in ghostwriting, I feel like if I can grasp the early and emerging advantages of this advanced infrastructure, so can the artists. The next task is to make the process of comprehension easier and more understandable.

That said, I considered Ethereum's next 100,000 artists and how to get them into the Ethereum ecosystem. I don't have all the answers to my questions, but I have some ideas. For example, Moloch DAO comes to mind.

Moloch is a DIY private funding group that aims to advance the development of the Ethereum ecosystem by funding promising and valuable projects, teams, and efforts. Since its inception, it has become a beacon of community-driven productivity. I was imagining what a Moloch DAO would look like to expand the number of artists in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Perhaps this group will have friendly committees, sponsors, mentors, and a Guild Bank designed to provide funding for traditional artists transitioning to the Ethereum ecosystem. For example, the Guild Bank will be used to pay new artists to generate encrypted artwork. required casting costs and other related expenses. The group will probably have a basic 'explain like I'm 5" educational resource center where any artist can look up everything about Ethereum

These are just ideas though, I'm not really sure what the best approach is. Maybe this DAO is not necessary at all. What I do know is that Ethereum is very strong right now in some unique ways, and I want to share that with artists who are willing to listen. Our challenge is to find a way to make it seamlessly accessible for everyone at a time when the crypto economy is still very nascent and has various user experience challenges.

So far, I've earned about 2 ETH in digital art sales on Ethereum. That's 2 ether more than I thought because I feel like I'm still a novice in the visual arts. However, for more seasoned art veterans, Ethereum easily provides diverse and promising avenues for autonomous monetization, distribution, etc. In a world where artists have long faced difficult challenges, its significance is enormous.

Of course, this requires a learning process. No matter what the future holds, we as a community need to constantly think about “how to make things easier” for future artists joining Ethereum. Still, it's a challenge we can definitely tackle together.

Some of the biggest challenges new entrants will face include wallets, buying and selling ETH, and how to use decentralized applications. Let's continue brainstorming ways to make artists as familiar with these processes as possible.
