(1) The Prysmatic Labs team released the ETH 2.0 mainnet configuration testnet Topaz
On April 15, the Ethereum 2.0 construction team Prysmatic Labs released the Ethereum 2.0 mainnet configuration test network Topaz. According to the official introduction, the Topaz testnet is the only complete ETH 2.0 mainnet configuration testnet; it implements a 32 ETH deposit verification mechanism (the verifier must put all 32 ETHs on the Goerli ETH1 testnet to participate in the verification); in addition, Prysmatic Labs The official stated that the Sapphire validator will be closed at 8:00 on April 16, Beijing time, and the Topaz founding deposit will be opened, and large-scale sending transactions will be opened to start the test network.
(2) Geth v1.9.13 released, block processing speed increased by about 10%
(3) Survey: 74.8% of the respondents plan to verify/stake with zero running nodes and validator clients in the Eth2.0 phase
The Ethereum 2.0 client Lighthouse recently conducted a user experience survey report on Eth2.0 staking/verification. 85.6% of the interviewees currently hold 32 ETH (the minimum amount of zero participation pledge in the Eth2.0 phase); about 30% of them have previously participated in mining on PoW’s Ethereum; about 40% of them Previously staked or verified on another PoS network. This means that the majority of validator/stakers will be new to the Eth2.0 ecosystem, and this will be the first time they actively participate in independently managing validator clients and nodes to maintain the decentralization of the Ethereum network.
When respondents were asked how they planned to participate in Eth2.0 phase zero, 74.8% were excited about being able to run their own nodes and validator clients to validate/stake on the Ethereum network; 41.4% planned to participate in staking pools ;18.9% plan to become a pledge service provider; Since the pledge lock-up time is unknown, 8% of users will not participate in phase zero, and 9.9% of users do not yet know the benefits of pledge,
(4) The transaction fee of Ethereum smart contract has risen to more than 8 times of the basic transaction fee
According to data provided by Chiplunkar, user fees have been lower than uncle block rewards since February 2019. However, the decline that occurred in March 2020 may have changed that. Another clear trend is the use of smart contracts. According to Chiplunkar’s research, smart contract transactions pay more in fees than basic ETH transactions. The transaction fee of basic ETH in March 2020 was close to 2,700 ETH, while the fee paid for smart contract transactions was 23,400 ETH, which was 8.6 times that of the basic transaction. 1. DeFi was attacked by hackers, and the locked value of dForce plummeted to $6
On April 18, Tokenlon issued a message saying that the imBTC pool on Uniswap had been hacked and had been exhausted. Follow-up research by PeckShield security personnel found that Uniswap lost 1,278 ETH, worth about $220,000, in this attack.

Analysis by the SlowMist security team found that it was similar to the attack on Uniswap, and it was most likely done by the same group. Lendf.Me attackers are continuously transferring the PAX profited from the attack to ETH, with a total of nearly 587,000 PAX. The exchange platforms used include 1inch.exchange, ParaSwap, etc.Chief Strategy Officer of OKExXu KunPosted on Weibo: "In the decentralized financial system, the code is the law, and the loopholes in the code are the loopholes in the law. This time, the Ethereum DeFi platform Lendf.Me was hacked and lost more than 24 million US dollars. The current DeFi Like the early BTC, it must undergo various shocks and tests before it can be recognized by the market.”

5. CSW has withdrawn the defamation lawsuit against V God
CSW has dropped its defamation lawsuit against Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. The defamation lawsuit is one of five that CSW has brought against members of the crypto community who have cast doubt on CSW's claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto. As previously reported, CSW withdrew its defamation lawsuit against Blockstream co-founder Adam Back. The lawsuit against Hodlonaut and Peter McCormack is still ongoing.
On April 12, 2019, CSW lawyers sent a letter to Vitalik asking him to retract the comments and issue a public apology; Vitalik ignored the letter. CoinGeek reported that CSW’s lawyers then served him with a formal writ in the UK. "He did file a lawsuit, and in my/our case, as far as I know, they just didn't follow up with the lawsuit and the deadline came," Vitalik said.
