😷 Another crazy week
There aren’t many big crypto happenings these days, and most discussions naturally focus on the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Last week was a brutal one, with cases starting to surge in the US, with over 35,000 confirmed cases so far and more than 450 deaths, as well as 600-700 deaths in Italy, while the rest of Europe seems to be catching up. trend. Also, many countries around the world are tightening their entry policies (in Australia we ban all non-citizens/non-permanent residents from entering) and many countries are implementing total lockdowns. The current situation seems grim for the world, but I believe on the other hand, we will come through stronger, however, it may take 6-12 months or more, so in the meantime, Please pay attention to safety!
But last week there was good news too, me and the YouTuber"The Crypto Lark"Had a discussion about Ethereum (especially the latest DeFi drama) and TokenSets. Additionally, Eric published an article titled "Breaking Down Ethereum Wallets Options".
Developers, developers, developers! They are the heart of how the Ethereum system works, and Compound has put together some great resources for this, you can check out their development guide here, or check out some of Adam Bavosa's guides.
oh! Gitcoin Grant Round 5 kicks off today (March 23), don't forget to donate to your favorite projects!

🤢 Ex-Bakkt CEO dumped stock ahead of coronavirus outbreak
Georgia Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler sold millions of shares of her stock ahead of the recent coronavirus-induced market crash, according to financial disclosures.
Former Bakkt CEO Loeffler reported the first stock sell-off on Jan. 24, the same day her committee (the Senate Health Committee) held a private meeting on the coronavirus, the disclosures show. The Daily Beast first reported the news.
The first deal was for shares in Resideo Technologies, worth between $50,000 and $100,000, and the company's shares have more than halved since then.
Other transactions included shares of Comcast Corporation, Keysight Technologies, Ross Stores and others, valued at between $1.275 million and $3.1 million.
Interestingly, Loeffler initially notified a number of these sales in the name of her husband, Jeffrey Sprecher, founder, chairman and CEO of InterContinental Exchange and chairman of the New York Stock Exchange. Last week, however, on March 12, she amended the notices to note that most of them were jointly owned by her and her husband.
😔 Crypto hedge fund Adaptive Capital closes
In an investor review letter from The Block, an encryption media, Adaptive stated that during the trading days from March 12 to 13, the price of bitcoin fell sharply, and the company plans to return the remaining funds to limited partners.
"Adaptive has taken the decision to close its operations and return the remaining funds to investors, we believe the risks of continuing to operate in an extremely volatile environment outweigh the potential rewards," the company said.
Adaptive blamed "inadequate infrastructure" for its inability to properly respond to the sell-off. But the letter did not mention BitMEX, which stopped service for about 45 minutes during the price crash. While BitMEX said its cloud service provider had a "hardware issue" that caused the request to be delayed between 02:16 and 02:40 UTC, he added that its service resumed at 03:00 UTC. Adaptive maintained accounts on BitMEX, which were liquidated, sources told The Block.
