The Ethereum Istanbul hard fork is expected to take place on December 4th. The testnet before the hard fork has been activated, and the Rinkeby testnet is the latest one. On November 15th, PegaSys Protocol Engineering product manager Tim Beiko tweeted a developer conference call about the progress of the Istanbul hard fork. The Ethereum Foundation has launched version 1.0 of its web-based integrated development environment (IDE), Ethereum Studio, according to official news. The goal of Ethereum Studio is to allow developers to develop based on Ethereum within a few minutes, reducing friction in development as much as possible. Users can perform these tasks through Ethereum Studio: develop and test smart contracts in the browser, integrate smart The contract is connected to the front-end web application, guides its application through three template tutorials, and shares projects with one click. 4. News
1. Report: The healthy growth of the Ethereum network in the two years after the ICO bubble has benefited from the rise of stablecoins
Ethereum has shown considerable growth over the past two years following the ICO bubble, according to a report from Coinmetrics. Much of the growth has been attributed to the rise of stablecoins (especially Tether) in the crypto market. Although Ethereum was grossly overvalued during the 2018 ICO bubble, the current NVTV ratio is reaching a tipping point. A lower NVTV ratio indicates network growth.
2. TATTOO Wine platform developed by Ernst & Young launched on the Ethereum blockchain
On November 14, the TATTOO Wine platform developed by Ernst & Young (EY) was launched on the Ethereum public blockchain network. The related technology utilizes the EY OpsChain platform launched by Ernst & Young (EY) to achieve traceability. The plan was proposed by Blockchain Wine, a Singapore start-up company. The founder of Blockchain Wine said, “In the TATTOO wine market, each bottle of wine can be traced back to the entire process from origin to direct delivery to consumers.” (Ledger Insights)

4. The ranking of Ethereum’s DeFi lockups changed slightly, and Synthetix once surpassed Compound to rank second
Most of the time, projects such as MakerDAO and Compound rank high in the lockup value of the Ethereum DeFi platform. But Spencer Noon, partner at Doggie Tail Crypto Capital, noted that things are changing. In a recent tweet, he stated that the DeFi protocol Synthetix currently has $103.5 million worth of assets locked in the contract, even slightly exceeding Compound ($103 million) at one point. This also shows the development and growth of Ethereum’s DApp ecosystem and its DeFi.
