Citi Wealth Begins Pitching Spot Bitcoin ETFs to Clients
Odaily: Bitcoin News posted on X that Citi Wealth is currently pitching spot Bitcoin ETFs to clients. Citi's October report described such ETFs as a way to hold Bitcoin through brokerage accounts and allocate them alongside stocks and bonds.
In the two trading days after the Binance hack, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw about $1 billion in outflows. Citi had previously promised to launch its institutional-focused Custody+ Bitcoin custody service "later this year" but has not announced a specific date. VanEck's Matthew Sigel said he heard the hack caused the service's launch to be delayed; Citi has not confirmed this claim.
