Odaily News: Bitcoin News posted on X platform that Bitcoin developer Luke Dashjr has suggested September 1 as a potential target date for the BIP-110 proof-of-work change hard fork, stating that the change should be implemented when BIP-110 "should have been activated." BIP-110 author Dathon Ohm said the community is currently drafting a proposal to modify Bitcoin's proof-of-work algorithm, with plans to "phase out existing miners," while accusing large mining pools of jointly opposing the BIP-110 initiative. When asked how the network would remain secure after existing miners exit, Dathon Ohm responded, "We will hire new miners."
