观点:市场忽视“灰犀牛”风险,油价若重返100美元或冲击全球经济
Odaily Planet Daily News Jiang Zhuoer posted on X platform that the market is currently overlooking a huge "gray rhino" risk, namely the continuous rise in international oil prices. He pointed out that Brent crude oil prices have rebounded to around $95. Against the backdrop that both the US and Iran are unable to completely resolve the conflict in the short term, nor easily reach a compromise on the passage through the Strait of Hormuz, the situation may remain deadlocked for a long time, making further increases in oil prices almost inevitable.
Jiang Zhuoer believes that if the transportation through the Strait of Hormuz continues to be disrupted, it will have a catastrophic impact on the global economy. He also stated that the current global commercial and government strategic petroleum reserves have been significantly depleted, with total US crude oil inventories (including commercial stockpiles and the Strategic Petroleum Reserve) falling to their lowest level since 1984. Once international oil prices break through $100 again, market sentiment could rapidly deteriorate.
