Binance lowers VIP 3 asset threshold to $1 million, OTC spot trading volume counted at 4x

Odaily Planet Daily News: Binance announced adjustments to its VIP Program. Effective from 04:00 EST on July 21, 2026, the VIP 3 wallet asset requirement will be reduced from $3 million to $1 million. Eligible users can access benefits including discounted fees, increased account limits, market information, and event invitations.



Binance has also adjusted how OTC spot trading volume is counted for VIP eligibility. Under the new rules, OTC spot trading volume will be counted at 4 times the actual amount towards total spot trading volume. Binance stated that $1 million in OTC spot trading volume will be counted as $4 million toward the corresponding threshold.



Previously, OTC-related eligibility was capped at VIP 4. Binance stated that after incorporating broader spot trading volume metrics, users who meet BNB balance and other requirements can reach VIP 9 through the full VIP framework. VIP trading fee rates remain unchanged, and the system will automatically process tier upgrades on a daily basis.
