Samsung, SK, and Naver Leaders Scheduled to Meet NVIDIA CEO in the US; Vera Rubin System Supply Approaching

Odaily Planet Daily News Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin are scheduled to meet with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang in the United States. The meeting is expected to be held in the form of a roundtable near Silicon Valley, USA, this week, with the 24th being a likely date.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei have also been mentioned as possible attendees. If the meeting proceeds, participants will cover areas including storage, GPU, and generative AI services in the AI market.

This meeting takes place ahead of the supply of NVIDIA's next-generation AI platform, Vera Rubin system. As the mass production of next-generation GPUs begins, parties involved in storage supply (such as HBM4), AI data centers, and cloud construction will participate in the discussions.

Last month, Samsung Electronics discussed with NVIDIA the HBM4 supply timeline and volume, foundry and SOCAMM cooperation, and the joint development of next-generation HBM. SK plans to build a gigawatt-level AI factory and AI cloud based on the NVIDIA platform, with initial operations in Korea scheduled for next year; Naver has also disclosed its vision for constructing a gigawatt-level global AI factory in collaboration with NVIDIA.
