Odaily reported that the South Korean government plans to build four chip factories in the southwestern region, with an investment of approximately 800 trillion won; Samsung Electronics will build two new semiconductor plants, and SK Hynix will build two new plants; it is expected that investment in the chip sector, including next-generation memory, edge artificial intelligence, and national defense, will reach at least 30 trillion won over the next 15 years.
