Macquarie Group reduces holdings in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, while increasing stakes in Circle and BitMine stock
Odaily Planet Daily News A 13F filing by Australian financial services firm Macquarie Group Ltd in mid-May shows that comparing the two periods ended December 31, 2025 and March 31, 2026, its IBIT holdings decreased from 5.126 million shares to 4.139 million shares, a reduction of approximately 19.3%, with the corresponding asset value declining from about $255 million to $159 million. ETHA holdings fell from 3.634 million shares to 3.289 million shares, a decrease of approximately 9.5%, with the corresponding asset value dropping from around $81.5 million to $52.1 million.
Regarding crypto stocks, Macquarie Group cut its position in Coinbase by 19%, increased its holdings in Circle by 188%, valued at $2.326 million as of the end of the first quarter, and added a new position in BitMine, valued at $4.153 million as of the end of the first quarter.
