SEC Seeks Public Comments on Prediction Market ETFs, Related Product Launches May Be Delayed

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins stated, "New products bring new questions," indicating that regulators need to further evaluate the impact of such products. Previously, Bitwise, Roundhill, and GraniteShares have submitted applications for prediction market ETFs, with products designed to track outcomes such as U.S. elections.
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas commented that the SEC is currently cautiously evaluating prediction market ETFs, similar to its previous approach with spot crypto ETFs. (Cointelegraph)
