Domestic oil prices may face the 8th increase this year

2026-05-20 11:16

According to Odaily Planet Daily, at 24:00 on May 21st, the adjustment window for domestic refined oil products will open again. Citing China Business News, institutions predict that due to international crude oil prices falling first and then rising during this adjustment cycle, refined oil prices will face the 8th increase this year. According to calculations by JLC Network Technology, as of May 20th, the average price of reference crude oil varieties was $105.09 per barrel, and it is expected that the retail price of domestic gasoline and diesel will rise by 110 yuan per ton. Taking No. 92 gasoline as an example, the increase per liter is about 8 cents. "With one working day left before the adjustment window opens, this increase in the retail price limit of refined oil products is highly likely, and the final magnitude may exceed 100 yuan per ton," said Wang Luqing, an analyst at Zhuochuang Information. It is estimated that the increase per liter for No. 92 gasoline and No. 0 diesel will be about 9 cents, and filling a 50-liter tank of No. 92 gasoline will cost an additional 4.5 yuan. Liu Bingjuan, an analyst at Longzhong Information, also predicted that at 24:00 on May 21st, the domestic refined oil price increase will be around 90 yuan per ton. For a 70-liter fuel tank, private car owners will spend an extra 5 yuan to fill up. (Jinshi)
