BitMart founder says security team severely understaffed, approximately $391,000 in suspicious transfers flow to wallet linked to Mercado Bitcoin attack
Odaily 星球日报讯 - Sheldon Xia, founder of cryptocurrency exchange BitMart, said on Wednesday that the company's security team is currently severely understaffed. Employees being threatened and former employees suspected of retaliation have made it more difficult to retain technical personnel; he stated that the team is still doing its utmost to protect data and assets.
Blockchain analytics firm Bitquery identified approximately $391,000 in transfers suspected to originate from BitMart-related wallets, involving three blockchains. Bitquery stated that the funds flowed to a wallet also involved in the attack incident on Brazilian trading platform Mercado Bitcoin. (Cointelegraph)
