In the foreign exchange market, the US dollar fell 0.01% against the offshore Chinese yuan (USD/CNH) intraday, with the current exchange rate at 6.69184. The US dollar rose 0.05% against the Japanese yen (USD/JPY) intraday, with the current exchange rate at 157.361.
In global stock indices, the Euro Stoxx 50 Index (EUSTX50) rose 1% intraday to 6,337.08 points; the UK FTSE 100 Index (UK100) rose 0.06% intraday to 10,756.6 points; the German DAX 40 Index (GER40) fell 0.05% intraday to 25,643 points.
In commodities, WTI crude oil rose 0.77% intraday to $97.32 per barrel. Brent crude oil rose 0.39% intraday to $101.8 per barrel.
