Odaily Planet Daily News The cost of debt default protection for NVIDIA (NVDA.O) has recorded its largest single-day increase ever. Earlier reports indicated that NVIDIA is in talks regarding artificial intelligence infrastructure transactions totaling over $750 billion, raising market concerns about its assumption of greater debt burdens. According to ICE Data Services, on Monday, the cost of NVIDIA’s five-year debt default protection rose approximately 0.14 percentage points, marking the largest intraday increase since this type of swap contract began trading in November last year.

Odaily Note: A CDS is a financial derivative that serves as "insurance" against a company's debt default. The higher the CDS spread (calculated in basis points, bps), the greater the market perceives the likelihood of the company defaulting (the higher the risk).
