Japanese and South Korean stock markets closed higher, with the KOSPI index rising nearly 1%

According to data from MSX.COM, the Nikkei 225 index closed up 320.04 points, or 0.50%, at 64,931.19 on July 27. The Korea KOSPI index closed up 65.12 points, or 0.97%, at 6,755.74 on July 27, with SK Hynix rising 3.5% and Samsung Electronics gaining 2%.
