A whale has staked 2.785 million tokens from an address, worth approximately $164 million, possibly linked to a16z

Data shows that this address had previously accumulated approximately 2.94 million HYPE tokens between September and October last year, currently worth about $172 million. In the past 11 hours, the holder staked approximately 2.785 million HYPE tokens, worth about $164 million, through 20 wallets.

MLM stated that although the identity has not been confirmed, market speculation suggests that this whale may be associated with the well-known venture capital firm a16z (Andreessen Horowitz). Currently, the ownership of the relevant on-chain addresses has not been officially confirmed. This large-scale staking behavior may reflect the confidence of major holders in the long-term ecological development of HYPE, while also potentially reducing the circulating market supply.
