韩国五大加密交易所日均交易量同比降89%至3.05亿美元
The daily trading volume of South Korea's five major Korean won-denominated crypto exchanges—Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax—has contracted significantly over the past year. Based on a comparable seven-day period in July, the combined average daily trading volume of the five platforms dropped from $2.82 billion to $305 million, a year-over-year decline of approximately 89%.
Calculated using a simple, unweighted average of the declines across the five platforms, the average drop in trading volume was approximately 77%. Another statistic shows that on July 20, the daily trading volume of the five exchanges fell by 88% year-over-year, with Korbit raising approximately $1 million through the sale of 15 BTC and 60 ETH.
South Korea’s benchmark stock index, the KOSPI, rose 114.44% over the 12 months ending July 22, even after retreating from its June peak. Tiger Research noted that the decline in South Korea's crypto trading activity not only reflects weaker prices but is also linked to narrative repetition, insufficient delivery from some projects, and retail investors shifting to stocks.
