Payment reliability improved, Polygon Ithaca hard fork to go live on mainnet on July 29

Odaily Planet Daily reported that the Polygon Foundation announced on X platform that the Ithaca hard fork has been successfully deployed on the Amoy testnet and will go live on the Polygon mainnet at block height 50,185,000, expected at 22:00 Beijing time on July 29. This upgrade aims to enhance payment reliability by automatically triggering failover when block producers experience rare stalls to ensure smooth transactions. It adds a protection mechanism to block transactions that could slow down or destabilize the network, while providing node operators with clearer visibility to ensure seamless underlying operations. All node operators should upgrade as soon as possible to ensure compatibility and network security.
