Major benchmark stock indices in Japan and South Korea both closed higher

The Odaily Planet Daily reports that, according to MSX.COM data, the Nikkei 225 index closed up 2091.07 points, or 3.26%, at 66,232.19 points on July 21. The Korea KOSPI index closed up 231.68 points, or 3.56%, at 6,747.95 points on July 21. SK Hynix closed up 4%, and Samsung Electronics rose 6.1%.
