Iran's Supreme Leader's Military Advisor: US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding Is Dead in All But Name
According to Odaily, on the 17th local time, Mohsen Rezaei, the military advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, stated that the United States has violated the terms of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding, rendering the agreement effectively defunct. Rezaei said that the US military is launching large-scale attacks on infrastructure in southern Iran using hybrid warfare tactics. With the US launching another attack, and in accordance with previous warnings, Iran has expanded the scope of the war. Rezaei stated that if the US continues its attacks in the coming days, the Iranian armed forces will move beyond the current phase of "deterrence and retaliation" and enter a phase of "total offense and destruction," making US overseas bases and soldiers direct targets.
