MacOS Malware Exposed: Can Hijack Telegram Sessions and Steal Crypto Wallet Data
Odaily Planet Daily reports that security researchers have discovered an information-stealing malware targeting MacOS devices, which is attacking cryptocurrency users. It can further control user accounts and steal digital assets by hijacking Telegram Desktop sessions, stealing passwords and wallet databases. Currently affected wallets and applications include: Exodus, Atomic, Electrum, Wasabi, Monero, etc.
Security experts recommend that users with potentially infected devices should immediately treat them as "untrusted devices," terminate all active Telegram sessions, and change both the Telegram two-factor authentication password and desktop application password. At the same time, do not enter seed phrases, private keys, or wallet passwords on the infected device, generate new wallets, and migrate assets. (FinanceFeeds)
