Odaily Planet Daily News: AI inference cloud startup General Compute has secured a $400 million loan from Upper90, marking the world's first financing project using inference-specific chips as collateral. The company has built its proprietary AI inference cloud platform based on SambaNova's self-developed ASIC chips, primarily targeting Agent-type AI computing workloads. Compared to traditional GPU clouds, it offers faster token processing speed and lower running latency; the hardware does not require water cooling and can be directly deployed in traditional data centers and idle crypto mining facilities.
