Odaily Planet Daily News White House Chief Cryptocurrency Advisor Patrick Witt will begin a multi-month leave later this month to undergo JAG program training with the Georgia Army National Guard. Witt had originally planned to attend the program in April, but it was postponed due to extended negotiations on the Clarity Act, and this time he could not postpone it again. Since assuming the position last August, Witt has led negotiations with lawmakers and industry stakeholders on core disputes of the bill, including brokering a compromise between the crypto industry and banks on stablecoin yields, handling ethical clause disputes, and securing support from law enforcement agencies. Deputy Harry Jung will take over his responsibilities.
