Serenity: Institutions begin repricing humanoid robotics business, China manufacturers' total capacity expected to reach 100,000 units by end of year
Odaily Planet Daily News "White-Haired Stock God" Serenity posted on platform X, pointing out that the Boston Dynamics industry chain report released by IBK Research last month shows that Boston Dynamics plans to achieve an annual production capacity of only 30,000 units by 2028. In contrast, the total production capacity of Chinese robot manufacturers is expected to reach 100,000 units by the end of 2026, which may prompt institutions to begin repricing the humanoid robotics business.
In terms of the competitive landscape, the US camp includes Tesla, Figure, Apptronik, and Agility Robotics, while Boston Dynamics is controlled by Korea's Hyundai Group; major Chinese manufacturers include Unitree Robotics, Fourier Intelligence, Agibot, UBTECH, and XPENG Robotics; European companies include Neura, Pal Robotics, Wandercraft, and Oversonic.
Furthermore, IBK Research estimates that Atlas shipments will reach 11,290 units in 2028, and increase to 20,000, 30,000, 40,000, and 50,000 units respectively from 2029 to 2032. However, Serenity has questioned this linear growth model, arguing that the actual volume growth curve is more likely to follow an S-shaped pattern. Serenity estimates that shipments could reach 15,000 to 20,000 units in 2028, increase to 40,000 to 70,000 units in 2029, and further rise to 90,000 to 140,000 units in 2030.
