Tether invests $20 million strategically in Mercado Bitcoin to accelerate the construction of on-chain financial infrastructure in Latin America

Founded in 2013, Mercado Bitcoin has evolved from a digital asset trading platform into a comprehensive on-chain financial infrastructure platform, covering services such as trading, tokenized investment products, lending, stablecoin payments, banking infrastructure, and cross-border financial services. This funding will be primarily used to expand payment infrastructure, scale tokenized products for institutional and retail investors, develop credit operations, advance on-chain capital market construction, seek strategic partnership opportunities, and drive international expansion.
