Specter reveals clues of BONK DAO governance attack: Realms founder's fund flows suspected to be linked to the attacker

Odaily Planet Daily News, on-chain security firm Specter has released preliminary findings of the BONK DAO governance attack. After tracing the on-chain fund flow, significant clues have emerged: addresses associated with Realms founder and Crypto Notte show traces of fund transfers with a suspected attacker wallet.

According to the review, the attacker posted a malicious governance proposal on June 30. The proposal's passing threshold required 1% of the total BONK circulating supply in voting power. Between July 4 and 5, the attacker acquired sufficient voting weight by purchasing tokens on exchanges and borrowing through Marginfi, totaling approximately $4 million, thereby pushing the proposal through to complete the governance attack.
