Coinbase Bitcoin premium index records 50 consecutive days of negative premium, setting a new historical longest streak

According to Coinglass data, the Coinbase Bitcoin premium index has been in negative premium territory for 50 consecutive days since May 19, with the latest reading at -0.0742%, extending the longest continuous negative premium record since the index was launched.

Previously, the index recorded a 40-day negative premium streak from January 16 to February 24 this year, exceeding the approximately 30-day continuous negative premium record seen during the "1011 crash." Historical data shows that prolonged negative premiums are typically accompanied by outflows of institutional funds from the United States, which may signal short-term market correction pressure.
