Lenovo Executive: No Oversupply of Computing Power
According to Odaily, Ablikim Ablimit, Vice President of Lenovo Group and Chief Strategy Officer of Lenovo China, stated that from a long-term perspective, there is still significant room for AI computing power demand in both China and overseas markets, and there is no oversupply of computing power. He noted that the current number of mature, top-tier AI products for the consumer market is limited, while the commercial potential of enterprise-oriented AI solutions has yet to be fully realized. He emphasized that the growth dividends of every previous productivity revolution have been driven by the industrial sector, and in the long run, the demand for computing power remains enormous.
He also pointed out that the current AI industry chain faces an imbalance in the supply-demand cycle, with too much influence on the supply side. Recently, Meta's opening of its computing power has sparked market concerns about an oversupply of computing power. (Yicai)
