日元突袭跳涨,市场猜测日本策略转向“突袭式”
Odaily Planet Daily News: On Thursday, the yen suddenly surged against the US dollar, keeping traders on high alert for possible intervention by Japanese authorities to support the yen. It remains unclear what triggered this market volatility or whether Japanese authorities intervened in the market. The magnitude of this fluctuation appears to be smaller than the movements following previous rounds of intervention.
Hirofumi Suzuki, chief foreign exchange strategist at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, stated: "It is still unclear whether this is intervention. However, as reports suggest, authorities may have shifted their intervention strategy and tactics, possibly no longer signaling intervention in advance. This could make it more difficult for the yen to weaken further." (Jinshi)
