According to Odaily Planet Daily, U.S. President Trump stated in a post that the U.S. needs to bring the semiconductor industry back to the country and therefore decided to help Intel in exchange for 10% of its shares. Trump said the U.S. pushed NVIDIA, Elon Musk's TerraFab, and Apple to partner with Intel to design and manufacture chips in the U.S. He noted that when the U.S. proposed the relevant plan, Intel's valuation was around $100 billion, which now exceeds $600 billion, making the value of the U.S. stake more than $60 billion.
