US stock semiconductor equipment and optical communication sectors strengthened, Aehr Test Systems surged over 13%

According to MSX.COM data, the US stock semiconductor equipment sector overall strengthened. Aehr Test Systems surged over 13%, Applied Materials rose over 8%, and ASML and Lam Research both gained over 5%, all hitting new historical highs. On the news front, Citigroup raised its target prices for semiconductor equipment manufacturers Applied Materials and Lam Research, expressing strong optimism about the demand outlook for NAND equipment.

The US stock optical communication concept sector also rallied collectively. Credo Technology (CRDO) rose over 6%, AXT Inc (AXTI) rose over 5%, Astera Labs (ALAB) and Marvell Technology (MRVL) gained over 4%, while Coherent (COHR) and Ciena (CIEN) rose over 2%.
