Liu Ren, a key member of the Chen Zhi criminal syndicate, repatriated to China

Odaily Planet Daily News: A task force dispatched by the Ministry of Public Security has successfully repatriated Liu Ren, a key member of the Chen Zhi criminal syndicate, from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, back to China. Investigations revealed that in 2016, Chen Zhi instructed Liu Ren and others to establish the Golden Group in Cambodia, which operated multiple online gambling platforms. Since 2020, the Golden Group has run telecom fraud parks in Cambodia, perpetrating large-scale telecom and cyber fraud crimes involving an exceptionally large amount of money. Additionally, Liu Ren is suspected of serious violent crimes including illegal detention and intentional injury. Liu Ren has now been placed under compulsory measures in accordance with the law, and the related cases are under further investigation. (Red Star News)
