Japanese and South Korean stock markets open lower

The Odaily Planet Daily reports that according to Gate data, South Korea's KOSPI index opened down 106.53 points, or 1.22%, at 8620.07 points on Wednesday, June 17.
Japan's Nikkei 225 index opened down 381.75 points, or 0.55%, at 69022.75 points on Wednesday, June 17.
