AI server intermediary platform Hydra Host raises $100 million, led by Kindred Ventures
Odaily Planet Daily News: Data center software startup and AI server intermediary platform Hydra Host has completed a $100 million funding round, with a post-money valuation approaching $800 million. This round was led by Kindred Ventures (venture capital firm). Other investors include Nvidia, ARK Invest, Magnetar Capital (an early investor in CoreWeave), and existing shareholders Founders Fund and Flume Ventures.
Founded in 2021, Hydra Host initially served cryptocurrency miners. It has now pivoted to providing automation software for data center operators, enabling them to lease out idle Nvidia AI server computing power and operate a GPU matching marketplace that connects GPU holders with renters. The company currently deploys its technology across 50 data centers worldwide, an expansion from 30 data centers as of February this year. (The Information)
