Iranian negotiation team advisor discloses details of proposed memorandum of understanding
Odaily Planet Daily News: According to a report by Iran's Fars News Agency on the 14th, Mehdi Mohammadi, the strategic advisor to the head of the Iranian negotiation team, disclosed some details of the proposed memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States. These details cover issues such as ceasefire arrangements, asset unfreezing, sanctions relief, and subsequent nuclear talks.
The report stated that the first point is the cessation of conflict and security guarantees. It requires a comprehensive halt to military operations against Iran and Lebanon, as well as the prevention of any new military actions. At the same time, the US side must provide necessary assurances to prevent a recurrence of tensions.
Second, part of Iran's frozen assets will be unfrozen, and the process of suspending some economic restrictions and sanctions will be initiated to create conditions for expanding economic exchanges and oil sales.
Third, maritime and trade restrictions will be lifted to restore Iran's maritime trade to a normal state, facilitate the passage of Iranian merchant ships, reduce maritime restrictions, and remove existing obstacles on international transport routes. (Xinhua News Agency)
