Iranian Foreign Ministry: Potential Understanding Between Iran and US is Merely to Continue Dialogue, Not a Final Agreement

Odaily Planet Daily News On the 13th, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei stated that any potential understanding between Iran and the United States is only meant to facilitate continued dialogue between the two sides, not a final agreement; unfreezing Iran's frozen assets will be an indispensable part of any Iran-US understanding. According to reports from the Iranian Students News Agency, Baghaei said during a meeting with media representatives that Iran's current focus is on ending conflicts on all fronts and regional tensions, and at this stage, it will not delve into details of the nuclear issue. He stated that the only way to achieve regional security is to end the presence of foreign military forces in the region.

Baghaei emphasized that the issue of unfreezing Iran's assets is an important component of any understanding and will not be excluded. Current topics under discussion also include eliminating hostile actions by the US against Iranian ships and issues related to the Strait of Hormuz. Baghaei said that Iran will act with the utmost caution in advancing negotiations and diplomatic processes while maintaining vigilance based on past experiences.
