Odaily Planet Daily News Retired U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said he believes President Trump's public statements may have inadvertently shifted leverage to Tehran. Kimmitt stated that Trump has shown impatience with negotiations, "announcing two or three times every two or three days that we will reach a deal within two or three days." Kimmitt said these statements by President Trump "show the Iranians that he lacks that patience, and the Iranians are now exploiting that." He added that Tehran is "provoking him, perhaps not on the battlefield, but certainly at the diplomatic negotiating table."
